The seagulls have joined us in Cleveleys while we have our lunch. YR10 geographers have been enjoying the beach after competing their fieldwork.
With the warm weather set to continue, all pupils can wear their PE kit to school from Wednesday until further notice if they wish. Please ensure children come to school with a water bottle so they can stay hydrated throughout the day. Thank you for your continued support. #QUESTtrust #SupportingYoungPeoplefromEarlyYearstoEmployment
Engineering the future at UCS! Our Year 10 students have been putting their STEM skills into action with support from Holly, a Mechatronics student, as they work together to build and programme a robot designed to detect landmines. The team has constructed the robot and is now programming it to take on a series of exciting challenges before competing against other schools at the university. Using coils of wire and eddy current technology, the robot is able to detect hidden metal, giving students hands on experience of real world engineering and robotics. A fantastic opportunity to develop problem solving, teamwork and coding skills. We wish the team the very best of luck in the competition! #UniversityCollegiateSchool #STEM #Engineering #Robotics #FutureEngineers #Mechatronics #LearningTogether
On Monday, our Sixth Form Team took our Year 12 students to the @UCAS Discovery event in Birmingham, as part of our #InspiringDestinations initiative. Just another example of what we offer to our wondeful students! We still have a limited number of places available for September 26. Apply on our website or email sixthformadmissions@quest-trust.org.uk

Today, our wonderful Sixth Form visited Liverpool Hope University to experience their wonderful campus and get inspired for their future. Our young people demonstrated the highest level of professionalism! #InspiringFutures
Thursday 11 June 2026 is the date for our GCSE geography fieldwork trip to Salford Quays. YR10 students who are on the trip should arrive at UCS at the normal time in the morning. They are expected to wear their own suitable clothing for a day outside. All students have been briefed about the expectation that they demonstrate our values and work hard throughout the day.
In May, our year 10 triple science students took part in the University of Warwick National Scientific Thinking Challenge. We are very proud to reveal that two of our students, Alex and Jaxon, were successful in achieving a Bronze Award in this challenge. This is in recognition of their high score in the competition against 254 other top schools across the country. Excellent work and a shout out to Mr Rawlinson for making his happen! #utc #physics #Science
Being part of a family is what we do here. We make sure that at every step, we support each other to strive for more. #Future
What a brilliant final morning it has been for our PGL residential. We've had a full morning of activities by the lakeside before lunch and our journey back home.
Football and rounders after a fun filled day on our residential PGL. Even the sun came out for us. Brilliant team spirit and lots of competitiveness!
Good morning from PGL! Teachers are powered by coffee this morning, all students enjoyed their evening! We had a quiz and went back to the dorms and were stocked up with Costco goodies from the teachers. Unsure if they enjoyed their morning wake up call when Mrs Mac & Miss Shires woke them up with a chant and musical rendition at 7.30am. We're ready for a fun packed day full of activities!
They've arrived! UCS Team PGL has arrived on their residential! We'll keep you updated on the challenges ahead. Mrs Mac has already assured us that the weather will not dampen the UCS spirit! #UniversityCollegiateSchool #UCSBolton #UCSFutureReady #ProudToBeUCS
