Course Content:

Students explore how stories are constructed across a range of literary and non-literary texts. This includes analysis of place, narrative voice, genre and linguistic techniques through prose, poetry and drama.

Learners study representations of conflict and complete an independent investigation linking different text, developing both analytical and creative approaches.

Assessment:

Assessment consists of two written examinations (80%) and a non-exam assessment (20%).

Exams include analytical essays and creative re-casting tasks, while coursework involves an extended independent investigation of 2,500–3,000 words.
