Leading Parent Partnership Award

Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA)

At UCS, we are proud to be working towards achieving the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) – a national accreditation that recognises schools committed to building strong and meaningful partnerships with parents and carers.

We firmly believe that when families and schools work together, children thrive. The LPPA helps us evaluate and strengthen how we communicate, involve, and support our parent community. It ensures that parents are not only well-informed but actively engaged in their child’s learning journey.

As part of our commitment, we’re focusing on nine key objectives, including:

  • Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families
  • Communicating clearly and regularly
  • Offering accessible support and guidance
  • Providing opportunities for parents to participate in school life
  • Supporting families through transitions and key stages

Our work towards this award includes events, workshops, and feedback opportunities that encourage open dialogue and shared decision-making. We also collaborate with local organisations to extend support beyond the classroom.

By striving for the LPPA, we are not only celebrating the work already being done but also challenging ourselves to go further building a vibrant school community where every parent feels valued, involved, and empowered to help their child succeed.

Impact of the LPPA

Achieving the LPPA will strengthen partnerships between parents, staff, and the wider community—enhancing student learning, wellbeing, and support. It reflects our commitment to collaboration, improves communication, and fosters a more inclusive, empowered school environment for all.
